Japan Introduction

Japan is a major country in the Asia-continent . This country is made up of four big and many small islands. The islands are located in the eastern coast of Asia, i.e. Pacific Ocean. The nearest neighbors are China, Korea and Russia. 

The Japanese call their country Nippon , which means ‘Sun Exit’ . Tokyo is the capital of Japan and its other major metro is Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto. 

Japan is composed of approximately 6852 islands, but only 340 islands are larger than 1 square kilometers. 

Only four of its islands account for 97% of its area while the remaining 6849 islands constitute only 3%.

Japan Population and Demographic area

Japan is the archipelago of the Strato volcano of 6852 islands. Four of the largest include Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku, which are settled in 97% of Japan. This country has been divided into 47 regions of 8 zones.

With a population of 127 million, it is the world’s tenth largest country according to the population. Of the total population of Japan, 98.5% are Japanese. The capital of Japan is Tokyo, and approximately 9.1 million people live here.

According to archaeological research, Japan has been inhabited since ancient times also. First of all we see mention of Japan in China history, which was written in the 1st century AD. 

First Japan was influenced by other religions, especially from China. From 12th Century to 1868, Japan was ruled by feudal troops, who ruled Japan on the name of the empire.

Japan Separation

 Japan entered the period of separation in the beginning of the 17th century and in 1853, when the United States put emphasis on opening Japan to the west, Japan was only in the period of separation.

After nearly two decades of internal tension and rebellion, in 1868, the Imperial Court regained its political power and thus the empire of Japan was established

In the 19th and 20th centuries, after winning the first sine of the Japan War, Russo-Japan War and World War I, Japan expanded its empire and also increased its military powers.

Japan World War 1941

The second seno-Japanese war of 1937 expands, it became the second world war of 1941, which ended in 1945 only after the bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After adopting the new constitution in 1947, Japan had maintained unitary constitutional monarchy with the ruler.

Japan is a member of United Nation, G-7, G-8 and G-20 and is known as a superpower. This country’s economy is the world’s third largest economy by the GDP rate and according to the PPP, the world’s third largest economy. 

Japan is also the world’s fourth largest exporter and the fourth largest importer of the country. Studying in Japan is given more importance and compared to Japan today in the highest educated countries.

At the same time, Japan has also declared its right to declare war, Japan’s military budget is the world’s eighth largest military budget. 

Japan is a developed country, where people’s standard of living is very good and according to the Human Development Index, it is also one of the most standardized countries.

1853 – United States demanded to open foreign influence after living in self-isolation for 200 years.

1868 – Japan’s Empire was declared and the country entered industrialization and imperialist expansion.

1910 – Japan made an annexation in Korea, and proved itself as a superpower in the world.

1914 – Japan and its allies joined Japan in the First World War and acquired Pacific Island from Germany.

1925 – Universal male franchise was formed.

1939-45 – In the Second World War, Japan occupied many Asian countries. When United States attacked Hiroshima and Nagasaki with an atom bomb, Japan had to give up.
