Bolt decided to make a world record of his name in the race since 2001, and in 2002, he won the 200 meters race in the Western Champs Finals, held in Catherine Hall, with 20.3 seconds in hand.

After this, he got out to win 200/400 meter doubles at the CARIFTA trials before winning four gold medals in the play held in Bahamas and Nassau.

In 2004, after completing the 200 meters race in 19.93 seconds, they broke the World Junior record at CARIFTA Play in Hamilton, Bermuda. But due to knee injury, the speed of bolt racing was reduced. Nevertheless, he participated in the IAAF World T & F Championship in Finland in 2005, due to cold weather and injury he was not able to perform well there.

Following this, in 2006, in the Commonwealth Games held in Australia, performing a 4 × 100 race for IAAF’s High Performance Team, he suffered another knee injury and this led to another change in his career.

After some time, somehow they got cured and completed 200 meters in the same year in 19.88 seconds, they made their personal record and occupied the second place in the 200 meters race at the IAAF World Cup of Athletes held in Stuttgart, Germany.

The year 2007 proved to be the breakthrough year for Ricardo, this year, he broke the 30-year-old 200 meters race with the Germanic record and won the Zaatian Senior T & A Championship in 19.75 seconds. After this, he participated in the IAAF World T & F Championship held in Osaka, Japan in 2007, and managed to win two silver medals in the 200 m and 4 * 100 m relay races.

2008 also proved to be the breakthrough for Ricardo, this year he created history and became the fastest runner in the planet. By day-night struggles and hard work, he was constantly winning the championship and he won in the Olympic Games as well as in many local plays. Mainly won the Olympic Games of Beijing, London and Rio and the IAAF World T & F Championship in Berlin, Daegu, Moscow and Beijing.

In July 2012, when he won the IAAF World Junior T & F Championship in Kingston, he was the first runner to win the gold medal for the host country and completed the 200 m race in 20.61 seconds. In these games Bolt won three medals, including two silver medals. He was also part of the 4 * 100 team in these games.

This was the beginning of his miraculous climb, during which he also won the IAAF Rising Star Award.
